SCREAM quietly| Miracle in the Winter of 1939 | | Posted by Elizabeth on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2:11pm |
Hi there friends. Thank you for coming by to visit.
It’s been a long hard winter with many challenges, some weather related, some health and many others. Perhaps it was the same for you. At times the weather here was so bad that the person who plows our roads refused to come down our hill. He was afraid that he’d get stuck. Now that’s snow accumulation! It took my dear husband hours to clear our hill with a tiny snow blower.

| | | | | A Cold October Morning | | Posted by Elizabeth on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 7:30pm | Ten blessings on a cold October morning
• The sound of heat coming through the vents
• The sun shining through the window
• For the gentle wind that swirls the leaves
• For the beautiful carpet of leaves on the grass
• Eyesight – to see the amazing kaleidoscope of colors
• Warm comfy slippers
• A quiet time to spend with God
• For memories – even though they may be difficult ones
(I can see my Lords’ hand in them)
• A hot tummy warming drink
• A washing machine to make laundry easier
• Oh boy! Oh boy! A dishwasher – how fortunate am I?
• Sand on the kitchen floor – because my husband is alive, is home, is able to walk and work outside.

Good morning, friends. I hope you had a peaceful night and woke refreshed.
Each morning when I wake, I can’t help but feel immensely grateful for my comfortable bed, my pillow, my warm cover, a soft rug to step on and when I go into the kitchen, for all the food that’s there. First let me tell you about our trip. We just returned from Arizona. Yes, Arizona in July. It was HOT but amazing! It’s the monsoon season and I’ve never seen anything like it before. We flew in, rented a car and navigated towards our destination. We drove through an unbelievable deluge. Roads were flooding, cars were creeping along and at one point our road led us to what appeared to be a lake. The rain came down in buckets, obstructing our view. Water rushed across the road and we wondered which way to go. This was our introduction to Arizona in July. We did navigate thru it safely and arrived at our destination.
